This recipe combines Smart Chicken Panko-Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets with parmesan and ricotta inside a delicious dough pocket. Perfect for gameday or celebrating with family and friends.
Ingredients
½ (16oz.) package Smart Chicken Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets (about 10 nuggets)
2/3 cup ricotta
1/3 cup parmesan, shredded
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 (14 oz) package premade dough, uncooked
2 eggs, divided
2 tablespoons water
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Place frozen nuggets on a baking sheet and cook for 8 minutes. While chicken tenders are in the oven, prepare the filling by combining ricotta, parmesan, Italian seasoning and 1 egg. Mix together and set aside. When nuggets have finished baking, remove and let cool slightly. Reduce oven heat to 350°F. Chop nuggets into pieces and add to cheese mixture. Roll out premade dough and divide into 8 equal size squares. Divide cheese mixture evenly among the 8 squares. Roll one corner over the dough to the opposite corner creating a triangle shape. Using a fork, seal the corners of the pockets. Create an egg wash by combining 1 egg with 2 tablespoons water. Apply the egg wash to the top of each dough pocket. Place in oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Remove from oven, cut in half and serve with marinara or ranch as a dipping sauce.
