Chicken Parmesan Sliders

Tender and crispy Breaded Smart Chicken Breast Nuggets are nestled inside a Hawaiian sweet roll with provolone cheese, marinara sauce and fresh Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16oz) bag Breaded Smart Chicken Breast Nuggets

  • 1 package (12 rolls) Hawaiian sweet rolls

  • 1 (8oz or 12 slices) container sliced provolone cheese

  • 1 cup traditional pasta or marinara sauce

  • 4 oz unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • ¼ cup fresh Parmesan cheese, shredded

Directions

Prepare Breaded Smart Chicken Breast Nuggets as directed. To prepare the sliders, preheat oven to 350°F. Slice Hawaiian sweet rolls in half and place the bottom portion of the rolls in a greased baking dish. Top the bottom portion of the rolls with 6 slices of provolone cheese equally distributed. Place in oven and cook for 5 minutes until cheese has melted. Remove pan from oven and layer with ½ cup pasta sauce over the cheese, spreading over the top. Carefully place breaded Smart Chicken nuggets (about 15) on top of the pasta sauce and then top nuggets with remaining pasta sauce. Layer with an additional 6 slices of provolone cheese and then place the top portion of the rolls over the cheese. Combine melted butter, garlic powder and red pepper flakes. Pour over top of the rolls an place the pan back in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes. After removing from oven, sprinkle rolls with shredded parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
