Ingredients
5 links Smart Chicken Country Breakfast Sausage, coined and quartered
2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
4 Tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine butter, egg and milk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Gently fold in cheddar cheese and sausage. Spoon the mixture into a greased muffin pan. Top with additional shredded cheese if desired and bake for 20-25 minutes or until tops are golden.
