Serves 4 (as an appetizer)
Ingredients
1 package Smart Chicken party wings (12 wings)
½ cup chili sauce, such as Sriracha
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon Sherry vinegar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 quart vegetable oil, for frying
2 tablespoons sliced green onions, for garnish
Directions
In a large pan or electric fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F. Carefully drop the wings into the hot oil with a slotted spoon and fry until the internal temperature of the chicken registers 165°F on a digital thermometer, around 8 to 10 minutes. Remove chicken from oil and transfer to paper towels.
To a saucepan over medium heat, add the chili sauce, ketchup, butter, vinegar, and salt. Warm the sauce, stirring occasionally, until the better melts. Transfer wings to a large mixing bowl; pour the sauce over the wings. Toss wings in sauce until completely coated. Transfer to a serving tray and garnish with green onions.
